Special Challenge Donation of $16,000 for the Shelter

Dear friends,

Our recent appeal to save the cats and kittens from being eaten generated an overwhelming response that we did not anticipate. We were not prepared to receive such a large numbers of cats now needing shelter, resulting in a most urgent need to provide adequate housing in order to prevent overcrowding and outbreak of disease.

Fortunately we were able to prevail upon Ms. Olive Walker to generously offer a second challenge donation of $16,000 to fund the cost of these most necessary structures, and again we look to you to match her donation. The structures will comprise over 3600 sq. ft. including an ABC (Animal Birth Control) clinic, kitchen, runs, etc. All of this desperately is needed as the cat population is increasing.

This is the first program of its kind in India and we eagerly look forward to it serving as an example to other communities in India in how to reduce needless suffering. Your contribution will make the difference between pain and a dreadful end, or a life of being cared for.
